Verse 28 is found in chapter 7 of 1 Chronicles. The genealogy of Ephraim includes painful family events and later leads toward Joshua and various cities. The death of his sons recalls the fragility of a family within history. The later reconstruction of the line shows how genealogy preserves loss, continuity, and territorial settlement simultaneously.
