Verse 33 is found in chapter 8 of 1 Chronicles. Saul’s line develops through Jonathan and his descendants. Although Saul died and his dynasty did not continue as Israel’s ruling line, his descendants do not disappear from historical memory. The genealogy particularly preserves Mephibosheth and later generations, showing that Saul’s house remained part of Israel.
