Verse 5 is found in chapter 18 of 1 Kings. After a long period of drought, God commands Elijah to present himself to Ahab and announces that he will send rain. Ahab and Obadiah search for food for the horses and mules, while Obadiah has secretly protected the Lord’s prophets from Jezebel’s persecution. The scene shows that even within Ahab’s administration there are people who fear God and act to preserve his prophets.
