Verse 12 is found in chapter 5 of 1 Kings. Hiram rejoices upon hearing Solomon’s request and recognizes the wisdom God has given the king. An agreement is established to supply timber and food in exchange for Israelite products. Solomon organizes workers and materials to prepare the stones and timber. The chapter presents the temple construction as a carefully planned undertaking supported by alliances and an administration capable of mobilizing enormous resources.
