And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king's table.

Verse 29 is found in chapter 20 of 1 Samuel. Saul discovers David’s absence, and his anger toward Jonathan reveals how deeply rivalry has dominated his perception. He even insults his own son and demands that he hand David over. Jonathan defends David by reminding Saul that David has done nothing deserving death. Saul’s reaction shows that fear of a potential rival has destroyed his family and political judgment. Jonathan, by contrast, maintains a moral perspective that recognizes David’s innocence above the king’s pressure.

Si he encontrado favor ante ti, déjame ir a ver a mis hermanos”.
