Verse 8 is found in chapter 2 of 2 Chronicles. Solomon organizes the construction of the temple and asks Hiram of Tyre for wood and a skilled craftsman. The request shows that building the sanctuary requires international cooperation, materials, and technical knowledge. Solomon describes the temple as a place dedicated to the name of God, distinguishing it from any attempt to physically contain the God who rules over all creation.
