Verse 5 is found in chapter 29 of 2 Chronicles. Hezekiah begins to reign and opens the temple doors, ordering their cleansing and restoration. In his speech to the priests and Levites, he interprets the previous crisis as a consequence of Judah’s unfaithfulness. The reform begins with a call to sanctify themselves and restore the worship of the Lord.
