Verse 33 is found in chapter 6 of 2 Chronicles. Solomon includes the foreigner who prays toward the temple. This request broadens the horizon of the dedication: Jerusalem should be known among the nations as a place associated with the name of God. The prayer recognizes that divine action is not ethnically limited to Israel and that the nations may turn to the God of Israel.
