Verse 11 is found in chapter 7 of 2 Chronicles. God appears again to Solomon and confirms that he has chosen the temple as a place of prayer. The passage also warns that unfaithfulness can lead to judgment and abandonment of the temple. The promise and warning form an inseparable unit.
