Verse 15 is found in chapter 5 of Daniel. The queen remembers Daniel as someone possessing exceptional wisdom and experience in interpreting mysteries. Belshazzar summons him because none of his specialists could read the writing. The episode connects with earlier chapters: once again the court’s human wisdom fails, and Daniel appears as the instrument of an ability the narrative itself attributes to God.
