Verse 4 is found in chapter 7 of Daniel. Daniel receives a night vision in which four beasts emerge from the sea. Unlike the statue in chapter 2, which represented kingdoms through valuable materials, the powers here appear as violent and animal-like creatures. The change in perspective is significant: what may appear majestic from the earth can be seen from the heavenly realm as predatory and dehumanizing power.
