Verse 15 is found in chapter 8 of Deuteronomy. Moses again warns against forgetting the Lord when Israel achieves economic and military prosperity. Wealth can create the illusion that its own strength obtained the land. Therefore the people must remember that God is the one who gives the ability to produce wealth and remains faithful to the covenant. Forgetting God would lead to the same destruction that affected the nations expelled from the land.
