The verse 11 is found in chapter 6 of Esther. The king orders Haman to perform exactly the ceremony he described, but in honor of Mordecai. Haman must publicly lead his adversary while proclaiming his honor. The narrative reversal turns the desire for exaltation that motivated his plans into humiliation.
