Verse 3 is found in chapter 25 of Ezekiel. Ammon is judged for rejoicing over the profanation of the sanctuary and Israel’s fall. Pride in another’s misfortune becomes a cause for judgment. The prophecy shows that neighboring nations are also accountable to God for their attitude toward the suffering of his people.
