Verse 24 is found in chapter 33 of Ezekiel. News arrives of Jerusalem’s fall, and Ezekiel’s mouth is opened. The survivors remaining in the land continue trusting in their possession of the territory while practicing injustice. The city’s destruction does not end the self-deception of those left behind.
