The verse 16 is found in chapter 29 of Isaiah. Those who attempt to hide their plans from God act as though the potter does not know the clay. Isaiah reverses the relationship between creature and Creator: human beings cannot determine what God should do. The final restoration includes the humble and poor who will again learn to sanctify the Holy One of Jacob.
