The verse 9 is found in chapter 54 of Isaiah. Barren Jerusalem is commanded to enlarge her tent because she will have many children. Restoration is explained through marital imagery: abandonment was temporary, while God’s love and covenant remain. The covenant of peace and future security culminate in the affirmation that no weapon formed against Yahweh’s servants will ultimately prosper.
