The verse 7 is found in chapter 55 of Isaiah. The invitation to buy wine and milk without money represents a salvation that cannot be purchased with wealth. The people are called to listen in order to live and to seek Yahweh while he may be found. The chapter concludes by comparing the effectiveness of God’s word to rain that produces fruit: the word sent by God accomplishes its purpose.
