The verse 19 is found in chapter 14 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah protests that false prophets promise peace and prosperity in God’s name. Yahweh responds by denouncing those prophets for speaking invented visions. The true prophet is caught between the divine message and the people’s suffering, while the final prayer acknowledges that only Yahweh can provide rain and salvation.
