The verse 20 is found in chapter 15 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah laments his own existence because of the conflict produced by his ministry. Nevertheless, he declares that he found God’s words and ate them, making them inner nourishment. The final promise to make the prophet a fortress shows that faithfulness does not eliminate opposition, but enables him to endure it through divine presence.
