The verse 27 is found in chapter 17 of Jeremiah. Sabbath observance becomes a concrete test of covenant faithfulness. Jeremiah must proclaim the message at the gates of Jerusalem because even commercial activity expresses spiritual priorities. The promise of prosperity if they obey contrasts with the fire of judgment if they continue ignoring the command.
