Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.

The verse 8 is found in chapter 26 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah again announces in the temple that repentance can prevent disaster. The priests and prophets want to kill him because of his words, but some remember that Micah also announced judgment during the days of Hezekiah. The episode shows that the prophetic word should be evaluated by its faithfulness, not silenced through violence.
