And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

The verse 11 is found in chapter 28 of Jeremiah. Hananiah breaks Jeremiah’s yoke and announces a rapid liberation from Babylon. Jeremiah responds that the prophet who announces peace must be tested by the fulfillment of his word. Hananiah dies that same year, becoming an example of the seriousness of speaking in God’s name without having received his message.
