The verse 14 is found in chapter 29 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah writes to the exiles and instructs them to settle down, build houses, form families, and seek Babylon’s welfare. The exile will last for a determined period, but it does not mean permanent abandonment. The promise of plans for peace and restoration appears within a call to persevere in present reality, not to escape through false expectations.
