The verse 6 is found in chapter 29 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah writes to the exiles and instructs them to settle down, build houses, form families, and seek Babylon’s welfare. The exile will last for a determined period, but it does not mean permanent abandonment. The promise of plans for peace and restoration appears within a call to persevere in present reality, not to escape through false expectations.
