The verse 11 is found in chapter 30 of Jeremiah. The collection of restoration words begins by announcing that Jacob’s time of distress will not be permanent. God will break the foreign yoke and call his people again to serve him. Discipline remains, but it does not mean total destruction: the identity of the people will be preserved.
