Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

The verse 32 is found in chapter 36 of Jeremiah. God commands the words destroyed by Jehoiakim to be written again, adding judgment against the king. The repetition of the scroll expresses the permanence of the prophetic word in the face of opposition. God’s authority does not depend on the physical preservation of one particular document, but on his ability to communicate his purpose again.
