Verse 3 is found in chapter 1 of Jonah. Jonah responds by fleeing in the opposite direction from the mission he received. The narrative deliberately contrasts “getting up and going” at God’s command with getting up to escape, making the prophet’s disobedience the first major conflict of the book.
