Verse 22 is found in chapter 18 of Joshua. The cities belonging to Benjamin are listed, including Jericho, Bethel, Gibeon, Ramah, and Jebus. Several of these locations will become important in later history. Jebus, identified with Jerusalem, remains in Jebusite hands at this stage. The list therefore functions not only as a territorial record but also as a map of future political and religious centers of Israel.
