Verse 11 is found in chapter 24 of Joshua. The speech continues by recalling the victories over Sihon and Og, the opposition of Balak and Balaam, and the entry into Canaan. God declares that He gave the land and cities that Israel had not built, together with vineyards and olive groves they had not planted. The land appears as a gift received, not solely as the product of Israelite effort. This memory seeks to combat self-sufficiency and preserve awareness of dependence.
