A verse can bring hope. Share this message of faith with someone you care about.
Verse 24 is found in chapter 13 of Judges. The angel no longer appears, and Samson grows under the Lord’s blessing. The Spirit of the Lord begins to stir him at Mahaneh-dan. The narrative thus prepares for the series of episodes in which Samson will perform extraordinary deeds, although his personal character will remain deeply problematic. From the beginning there is a tension between the divine consecration of the judge and his impulsive decisions.
