Verse 7 is found in chapter 13 of Judges. Israel again does evil and falls under Philistine domination for forty years. The angel of the Lord appears to the wife of Manoah, who is barren, and announces the birth of a son consecrated from the womb. The child will be a Nazirite and will begin to save Israel from the Philistines. Deliverance begins here before the deliverer’s birth, showing that the initiative belongs to God.
