And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

Verse 14 is found in chapter 4 of Judges. The battle begins against Sisera and his army of chariots. The Lord defeats Sisera and his forces, and the commander abandons his chariot to flee on foot. The apparent technological advantage of the Canaanite chariots is nullified. The account attributes the decisive defeat to God and shows that the enemy’s military strength cannot prevent the fulfillment of the word announced by Deborah.
