And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.

Verse 18 is found in chapter 4 of Judges. Sisera flees to Jael’s tent, where she apparently receives him with hospitality. She then kills him while he sleeps and delivers his body to Barak. Deborah’s prophecy is fulfilled literally: a woman receives the decisive honor over the enemy commander. The section concludes by stating that Israel progressively destroyed Jabin’s power, showing that the deliverance begun in battle continues until the oppressor is defeated.
