Verse 43 is found in chapter 12 of Nehemiah. The two great choirs arrive at the temple area, and the celebration culminates in singing, sacrifices, and great joy. The scale of the celebration reflects that reconstruction affects the entire community. The wall, initially built to protect Jerusalem, becomes integrated into a liturgy of gratitude to God.
