My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.

Verse 14 is found in chapter 6 of Nehemiah. Nehemiah rejects the invitation to hide in the temple proposed by Shemaiah. He perceives that the advice does not come from God and that accepting a refuge reserved for priestly functions would compromise his position. The episode teaches that not every proposal presented in religious language should be accepted without discernment.
