Verse 25 is found in chapter 9 of Nehemiah. The entrance into the land is described as fulfillment of the promise. Israel received cities, fields, and a fertile land that it had not produced through its own efforts. Abundance is interpreted as God’s gift and therefore makes the later forgetting of its giver more serious.
