Verse 12 is found in chapter 29 of Numbers. The Feast of Tabernacles receives an extensive set of sacrifices over several days. The number of bulls decreases progressively while the other prescribed sacrifices continue. The ritual structure communicates the solemnity of the feast and its national character. The chapter concludes by noting that these offerings are made in addition to vows and freewill offerings, distinguishing established worship from particular expressions of devotion.
