Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.
A verse can bring hope. Share this message of faith with someone you care about.
Verse 6 is found in chapter 3 of Numbers. The genealogy of Aaron introduces his sons and defines their priestly responsibilities. Nadab and Abihu are mentioned even though they had already died, reminding the reader that priestly service does not depend solely on biological continuity. The Levites are given to Aaron to assist in the sanctuary and appear as substitutes for Israel’s firstborn, whose consecration recalls the deliverance from Egypt.
