Verse 33 is found in chapter 3 of Proverbs. The disciple is urged to preserve sound judgment and prudence in order to walk securely, sleep without fear, and avoid deliberately harming others. The instructions take on a communal dimension: do not withhold good from the needy when it is within your power to act, do not plan evil against your neighbor, and do not envy the violent. The passage concludes by distinguishing divine blessing upon the upright from divine opposition to the perverse.
