Verse 2 is found in chapter 15 of Revelation. John sees seven angels with the seven last plagues and sees those who had conquered the beast beside the sea of glass, holding harps of God. They sing the song of Moses and the Lamb. The combination connects Israel’s exodus with the redemption accomplished by Christ: just as God delivered Israel from Pharaoh, he also leads his people through the conflict with the beast. The song celebrates God’s just and true works and acknowledges that all nations will come to worship him.
