Verse 6 is found in chapter 17 of Revelation. One of the seven angels takes John to see the judgment of the great prostitute sitting on many waters. The woman appears adorned with luxury and associated with the drunkenness of the kings of the earth and with the blood of the saints. Her immorality functions as a symbol of spiritual unfaithfulness and seduction through power. The vision presents Babylon as a reality combining political influence, wealth, and opposition to God’s people.
