And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
A verse can bring hope. Share this message of faith with someone you care about.
Verse 1 is found in chapter 19 of Revelation. A great multitude in heaven celebrates with hallelujahs because salvation, glory, and power belong to God and because he has judged the great prostitute. The smoke rising forever symbolizes the permanence of Babylon’s judgment. The twenty-four elders and four living creatures respond with worship, and a voice calls all God’s servants to praise him. The scene shows that judgment upon evil is inseparable from the vindication of divine justice.
