Verse 7 is found in chapter 19 of Revelation. The multitude celebrates the marriage of the Lamb, and the bride prepares herself dressed in fine linen, interpreted as the righteous deeds of the saints. The wedding image expresses the covenant relationship between Christ and his people and contrasts with Babylon’s symbolic prostitution. John attempts to worship the angel, but the angel corrects him: the angel is a fellow servant, and worship belongs only to God. The testimony of Jesus is identified as the spirit of prophecy, linking all true prophecy with the revelation of Christ.
