Verse 7 is found in chapter 20 of Revelation. When the thousand years are completed, Satan is released and again deceives the nations, symbolized by Gog and Magog, gathering them against the saints. The attack is stopped by fire descending from heaven. The devil is thrown into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet already are. The sequence insists that even after a period of restraint, Satan’s rebellion does not lead to an alternative victory: it ends definitively under God’s judgment.
