Verse 8 is found in chapter 21 of Revelation. The one seated on the throne declares that he makes all things new and affirms that his words are true and faithful. "It is done" connects this declaration with the consummation announced in the seventh bowl. God identifies himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and promises the water of life to the one who thirsts. The passage also contrasts the conquerors with those who persist in unbelief, violence, immorality, and idolatry, showing that the new creation involves a definitive separation from evil.
