Verse 8 is found in chapter 9 of Revelation. The creatures resemble horses prepared for battle, with crowns like gold, human faces, hair like women’s hair, and teeth like lions. Their king is the angel of the abyss, called Abaddon in Hebrew and Apollyon in Greek, names associated with destruction. The language is deliberately symbolic and need not be reduced to a specific technological or historical identification. The fifth trumpet ends with the first woe, but two more remain.
