Verse 13 is found in chapter 14 of 2 Chronicles. Zerah the Cushite arrives with a huge army, and Asa goes out to confront him. Before the battle, Asa acknowledges that God’s power does not depend on the size of the army and asks for divine help. The subsequent victory is interpreted as a response to the king’s cry, turning the battle into a narrative demonstration of dependence on God.
