Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

Verse 14 is found in chapter 25 of 2 Chronicles. After defeating Edom, Amaziah brings back the Edomite gods and begins worshiping them. A prophet confronts him, and the king responds by threatening him. The episode shows a profound contradiction: the man who had consulted God before the war eventually attributes religious value to the gods of the defeated people.
