Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Verse 15 is found in chapter 3 of Daniel. The king offers the three men a second opportunity, but they respond without negotiating their loyalty. Their statement that God can deliver them is accompanied by another equally important possibility: even if He does not deliver them, they will not worship the image. The faith of the passage does not depend on demanding a miraculous outcome; it consists in recognizing God’s sovereignty even when obedience may lead to death.

Wohlan schickt euch!
